B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL

Removal and Installation

NOTE: If the supplemental restraint system (side air curtains) has deployed, check the B-pillar trim panel for damage.

1. Pull back the weatherstrip surrounding the B-pillar trim panel.
2. Remove the front seat safety belt anchor cover.







3. Remove the front seat safety belt nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

4. Remove the upper and lower B-pillar trim panels.

5. NOTE: Position the shoulder safety belt height adjuster at its highest setting before installing the upper B-pillar trim panel.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check the restraint system for correct operation.
