Normal Operation
When the key is placed in START, voltage is sent to the audio unit through circuit 50-MD15 (GY/OG). When the audio unit receives this signal, it mutes the speaker signals. After the key is removed from START, the audio unit directs audio signals to the audio amplifier through separate positive and negative circuits for each of the 4 audio channels: LH front, RH front, LH rear, and RH rear. The signals are then amplified by the audio amplifier and sent to the 4 door speakers. The audio unit provides internal circuit protection for shorts to ground, shorts to B+ battery, or shorts between any output circuits.
