Normal Operation
The parking aid system is enabled when the ignition switch is in the RUN position and REVERSE gear is selected. The system can be enabled/disabled through the parking aid disable switch. The parking aid module sends a reference voltage to the parking aid disable switch on circuit 8-GN12 (WH/BU). The parking aid module senses when the parking aid disable switch is closed to ground.

Possible Causes
- circuit 8-GN11 (WH/RD) open
- circuit 8-GN12 (WH/BU) open or short to ground
- circuit 31-GN12 (BK/OG) open
- sensor alignment
- parking aid sensor
- parking aid module
- parking aid disable switch
- bumper cover
