22. Install the ground wire.





23. Install the starter and the bolts.





24. Connect the electrical connectors on the starter.





25. Install the starter motor electrical connector cap.





26. Position the RH catalytic converter assembly in place. Do not tighten the clamp at this time.





27. Install the RH exhaust flange nuts.





28. Tighten the RH exhaust clamp.





29. Connect the RH H02S sensor connector.





30. Connect the RH catalyst monitor connector.





31. Position the LH catalytic converter assembly in place. Do not tighten the clamps at this time.





32. Install the LH exhaust flange nuts.





33. Tighten the LH exhaust clamp.





34. Connect the LH H02S sensor connector.





35. Connect the LH catalyst monitor connector.





36. Install the shift cable bracket.





37. NOTE: The manual lever must be in the OVERDRIVE position.

Slide the transmission shift linkage into the cable bracket until the tabs fully seat, and connect the shift cable at the manual lever.





38. NOTE: The output shaft and the driveshaft are a balanced assembly. Install the driveshaft.

^ Align the paint marks and the index marks made during removal, position the driveshaft on the transmission.





39. NOTE: To maintain initial driveshaft balance, align the index marks made during removal.

Install the rear driveshaft.
1. Position the driveshaft.
2. Install the four bolts.
40. Lower the vehicle.
41. Connect the battery ground cable.
42. Fill the transmission with clean automatic transmission fluid and inspect for correct operation.
