Parking Assist Distance Sensor: Service and Repair

PARKING AID SENSOR

REMOVAL

All sensors
1. Remove the rear bumper cover.

Radar sensors







2. Disconnect the parking aid radar sensor electrical connector.







3. Remove the nuts and the bolt and the radar sensor.

Ultrasonic sensors







4. Disconnect the parking aid sensor electrical connector.







5. NOTE: The ultrasonic sensor has an insulator that must be installed when the sensor is installed. Failure to install the insulator may cause harmonic vibrations in the rear bumper fascia causing false readings.

Remove the ultrasonic sensor.
- Release the tabs.

INSTALLATION

All sensors
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
