Accelerator Pedal and Shaft - Cable, Memory Pedals

ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND SHAFT - CABLE, MEMORY PEDALS

REMOVAL

CAUTION: The adjustable pedal system must be indexed whenever the brake pedal assembly or the accelerator pedal assembly is serviced.

NOTE:
- Only accelerator pedal and shaft assemblies with the memory option are equipped with a serviceable adjustable drive cable. The drive cable on non-memory pedal assemblies is not serviceable.
- A new drive cable must be installed if removed from the accelerator pedal assembly.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the accelerator pedal and shaft assembly.







3. Insert a flat screwdriver between the protective shell and motor.







4. Twist the screwdriver and pry the protective shell from the motor.







5. Remove the drive cable/sensor assembly from the drive motor.

INSTALLATION
1. Install new drive cable/sensor assembly to motor.







2. Remove the tie strap.







3. Align tabs on protective shell with slots on drive motor end-cap.







4. Snap tabs on protective shell into slots on motor end-cap until fully seated.
5. Install the accelerator pedal and shaft assembly.
6. Connect the battery ground cable.
