19. Install the front splash shield.
20. Install the RH and LH inner fender splash shields.
21. Install the exhaust system.
22. Install the drive shaft.
23. Install the clean air inlet duct.
24. Charge the A/C system.
25. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
26. Install the air cleaner assembly.
27. Connect the battery ground cable.
Item 1: Transmission Mounting Bolts Installation Note
1. Install the special tool to the engine as shown.
2. Install the special tool to the engine as shown.
3. Using an engine crane, transfer the engine to the subframe.
4. Install the LH engine mount nut.
5. Install the RH engine mount nut.
6. Install the transmission to the engine and install the bolts.
7. Remove the special tool.
8. Remove the special tool.
Items 23-29: Subframe and Bolts Installation Note
1. Position and carefully raise the entire engine, transmission, cooling and subframe assembly into the vehicle.
2. Install the crossmember bolts.
3. Install the RH subframe bolts.
4. Install the LH subframe bolts.
5. Install the transmission support bracket.
6. Remove the powertrain lift and transmission support bracket.
7. Remove the safety stands from the rear of the vehicle.
Items 30-43: Front Suspension and Brake Caliper Installation Note
1. Install the lower strut mount bolts.
2. Install the upper ball joint nut.
3. Connect the stabilizer link lower mounts and install the nuts.
4. Install the front brake calipers.
5. Connect the anti-lock brake sensor harness to the brake hose clips.
6. Connect the anti-lock brake sensor electrical connector.
Item 44: Power Steering Hose Bracket Installation Note
1. Install the power steering hose bracket to the LH frame rail.
Items 45 and 46: Steering Column Intermediate Shaft and Pinch Bolt Installation Note
1. CAUTION: Do not allow the steering wheel to rotate while the steering column intermediate shaft is disconnected or damage to the clockspring can result. If there is evidence that the wheel has rotated, the clockspring must be removed and recentered.
Connect the intermediate shaft to the steering gear and install the pinch bolt.
Items 53 and 54: Torque Converter Nuts and Access Cover Installation Note
1. NOTE: Align the reference marks made during removal.
Install the nuts.
2. Install the access cover.
