Item 3: Spacer Plate Disassembly Note





1. Unclip the LH and RH wiring harness retainers.





2. Remove the rear separator plate assembly.

Item 4: Crankshaft Rear Seal Disassembly Note





1. Using the special tools, remove the crankshaft rear seal.
2. Mount the engine on an engine stand.
3. Remove the lifting equipment.

Item 23: Emissions Vacuum Hose Disassembly Note





1. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor jumper from the main vacuum harness.





2. Disconnect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) tube at the rear of the upper intake manifold.

Item 25: Engine Wiring Harness Disassembly Note





1. Disconnect the throttle body electrical connectors.





2. Disconnect the Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) valve electrical connectors.





3. Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness connector.





4. Disconnect the Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.





5. NOTE: LH is shown, RH is similar.

Disconnect the LH and RH Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connectors.





6. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.





7. Disconnect the oil pressure switch and oil temperature sensor electrical connectors.





8. Disconnect the A/C electrical connector.





9. Detach the three wiring harness retainers from the block.





10. Detach the three wiring harness retainers.





11. Remove the nut and wiring harness from the stud.





12. Detach the two wiring harness retainers from the block. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.





13. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers.





14. Unclip the wiring harness retainer.





15. Remove the bolts and the radio ignition interference capacitors.





16. Unclip and disconnect the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector.





17. Remove the four nuts and the wiring harness.





18. Remove the nut and the bracket.





19. Remove the nut and the ground strap.
