Valve Cover RH

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the RH ignition coils.





3. Illustration 1 of 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.





4. Illustration 2 of 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Items 8, 9, and 10: Valve Cover, Valve Cover Stud Bolts and Valve Cover Bolts Installation Note
1. Clean the cylinder head-to-valve cover sealing surface.





2. NOTE: The valve cover must be installed within four minutes of sealant application.

Apply an 8 mm (0.32 inch) bead of silicone gasket and sealant to the cylinder head half-round surface and to the front cover-to-cylinder head joint face.





3. NOTE: Locations I and 2 are bolts. Locations 3-12 are stud bolts.

Install the RH valve cover, and tighten the bolts and stud bolts in the sequence shown.
