EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTE: The 3.0L is shown, the 3.9L is similar.







1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.







2. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) tube from the EGR valve.







3. Remove the EGR valve.
^ Remove the bolts and the EGR valve.
^ Remove and discard the gasket and clean the sealing surfaces.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new gasket.
