Torsion Bar LoadingWARNING: SAFETY GLASSES MUST BE WORN WHEN CARRYING OUT THIS OPERATION. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PHYSICAL INJURY.
1. Open and support the luggage compartment lid in the full-open position.
NOTE: The luggage compartment lid tension should be decreased if the luggage compartment lid opens with more force than desired. The luggage compartment lid tension should be increased if the luggage compartment lid opens with less force than desired.
2. Move the luggage compartment lid end of the luggage compartment lid torsion bar to another position.
WARNING: USE CARE WHEN ADJUSTING THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID TORSION BAR. IT IS UNDER TENSION AND COULD SPRING OUT OF CONTROL IF IT IS NOT HANDLED CORRECTLY. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
3. Check the adjustment.
4. If required, move the luggage compartment lid end of the luggage compartment lid torsion bar to another position.
