Air Injection Bypass Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.







2. Remove the LH and the RH side splash shields.

NOTE: LH shown; RH similar.







3. Remove the center splash shield.







4. Disconnect the secondary air tube from the valve.







5. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the secondary air valve.







6. Disconnect and remove the pump-to-valve air tube.







7. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the nut and bolt. Remove the valve.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
