Normal Operation
If the restraints control module detects an open or short to ground on the air bag warning indicator circuit, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1869 in memory. If any other DTCs are detected with this DTC active, the secondary air bag warning will be activated.

Possible Causes
An air bag indicator circuit open can be caused by:
- Wiring, terminals, or connectors.
- A faulty RCM.
- A faulty air bag warning indicator.
- A lighting control module internal concern.
