Headlamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTE: Due to varying wattage ratings and resulting current draw, certain aftermarket headlamp bulbs may cause the Lighting Control Module (LCM) to shut down the short circuit protection, resulting in the low beams becoming inoperative. Verify that the bulbs meet Ford specifications.







1. Remove the radiator air deflector.
1 Release the three clips.
2 Remove the radiator air deflector.

NOTE: Make sure that the headlamp switch and the ignition switch are in the OFF position.







2. Remove the headlamp.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Remove the three headlamp pins.
3 Remove the headlamp.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ If necessary, adjust the headlamps.
