DISASSEMBLY

WARNING:
- ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN REPAIRING A SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) VEHICLE AND WHEN HANDLING AN AIRBAG MODULE. THIS WILL REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT.
- AFTER DEPLOYMENT, THE AIR BAG SURFACE CAN CONTAIN DEPOSITS OF SODIUM HYDROXIDE, A PRODUCT OF THE GAS GENERANT COMBUSTION THAT IS IRRITATING TO THE SKIN. WASH YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER AFTERWARDS.
- NEVER PROBE THE CONNECTORS ON THE AIR BAG MODULE. DOING SO CAN RESULT IN AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, WHICH CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.


1. Remove the center front seat.







2. Remove the covers from each side.







3. Remove the pivot screw from each side and remove the armrest.







4. Remove the screws.







5. Remove the vent distribution panel and remove the cover.







6. Release the J-clips. Remove the cover.

ASSEMBLY

WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, READ AND FOLLOW ALL WARNINGS, CAUTIONS, AND NOTES AT THE BEGINNING OF THE DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE.







1. Install the cover. Fasten the J-clips.







2. Install the vent distribution panel and cover.







3. Install the screws.







4. Install the armrest and pivot screws on each side.







5. Install the covers.
6. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
1 Install the front center seat.
2 Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
