Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the electronic audio system with the engine running and the vehicle in motion.

NOTE: The Audio Control Module (ACM) is also referred to as the audio unit.

2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

3. If the fault is not visually evident, proceed to speaker walk-around test, audio unit self-diagnostic mode (P100i only) and the diagnostic tool.
