Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the engine to duplicate the condition.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical damage.
- Engine coolant leaks
- Engine oil leaks
- Fuel leaks
- Loose mounting bolts, studs and nuts
3. If inspection reveals obvious concerns that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the symptoms and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
