Windshield Washer Switch: Description and Operation









DESCRIPTION
The multi-function switch, which is mounted to the steering column lock cylinder housing, provides electrical switching for the following:
^ turn signal
^ headlamp dimmer
^ headlamp flash-to-pass
^ hazard warning
^ cornering lamps
^ windshield washer/wiper

OPERATION
The windshield washer switch, located at the end of the turn signal lever, operates as follows:
^ The ignition switch lock cylinder must be in RUN position to operate washer.
^ Push the end of the turn signal lever in toward the center of the steering actuator housing to actuate the washer.
^ Release the turn signal lever to turn off the washer.
^ The windshield wipers will continue to operate briefly and then automatically return to the previous wiper speed setting (OFF, LO, HI or INT).
^ Washer operation is available in all positions of wiper operation.
