Lock Cylinder Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Open luggage compartment door.
2. Remove luggage compartment door latch retaining screws and disconnect electrical connector (if equipped). Remove luggage compartment door latch.
3. Drill out two rivets retaining sleeve and cover of glove/luggage compartment lock cylinder to luggage compartment door outer panel. Remove sleeve and cover.
4. Remove glove/luggage compartment lock cylinder and luggage compartment door lock retainer clip and luggage compartment door lock support.
5. Remove pop-rivet retaining glove/luggage compartment lock cylinder and luggage compartment door lock cylinder retainer.
6. Remove glove/luggage compartment lock cylinder and luggage compartment door lock cylinder retainer.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten latch retaining screws to 8-12 N.m (71-106 lb-in) and lock cylinder plate retaining screw to 5-8 N.m (44-71 lb-in).
