Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

The A/C clutch control relay deactivates the A/C clutch when it receives a signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

The A/C clutch can be deactivated in this manner under the following conditions:
^ engine start-up
^ wide-open throttle
^ low engine idle conditions
^ excessively high engine temperature
