Variable Induction System: Service and Repair: Adjustments

1. Remove Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) assemblies.
2. Apply 41-67 kPa (12-20 in Hg) vacuum to the vacuum control inlet port. Turn the adjustment screw in vacuum control bracket clockwise until screw no longer contacts the lever arm.
3. Maintaining applied vacuum, insert a 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) feeler gauge between adjustment screw and lever arm. Adjust the screw clockwise until screw contacts the feeler gauge. Remove the feeler gauge and turn the adjustment screw clockwise an additional three quarters to one turn.
