Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. Perform fuel charging system, pre-service and fuel pressure release procedures. Pre-Service Procedures
2. Remove fuel injection supply manifold.
3. Carefully disconnect fuel charging wiring from fuel injectors.
Fuel Injector:
4. Grasping fuel injector body, pull up while gently rocking fuel injector from side to side.
Fuel Injectors:
5. Inspect fuel injector O-rings (two per fuel injector) for signs of deterioration. Replace as required.
Fuel Injector:
6. Inspect fuel injector end cap, body and washer for signs of dirt and deterioration.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Never use silicone grease. Silicone grease will clog the fuel injectors.
1. Lubricate new O-rings with clean engine oil.
2. Install fuel injectors using a light, twisting-pushing motion.
3. Install fuel injection supply manifold.
4. Connect fuel charging wiring to fuel injectors.
5. Perform fuel charging system post-service procedures. Post-Service Procedures
