LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1995 CONTINENTAL

ISSUE:
1995 (FN-74) vehicles ordered with Engine Block Heaters require the dealer to install an Engine Block Heater Wiring Extension Assembly.

ACTION:
Install the Engine Block Heater Wiring Extension Assembly. Refer to the following text and Figures 1 through 7 for details.

NOTE:
THIS PROCEDURE SHOULD BE DONE AS PART OF THE PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION.























Wixom Assembly Plant installs the Wire Assembly Engine Block Heater (F5OB-6B018-AB) during vehicle assembly. This wiring assembly ends inside the engine compartment on the LH side near the radiator. A Wiring Extension (F5OY-6B019-A) is needed after vehicle manufacture to make the Engine Block Heater functional. Dealers must Install the Engine Block Heater Extension following the instructions in Figures 1 through 7.

NOTE:
DEALERSHIPS MUST ORDER THIS PART.
IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE VEHICLE.
