AIS9 - Check Both Lt and Rt Bank IMRC Function at High RPM

- Note the position of both IMRC vacuum actuators linkage and lever mechanism with the engine at idle.

- Increase engine speed to 3500 rpm while observing linkage/lever.

- Did the linkage/lever on both left and right bank assemblies move as engine speed was increased from low rpm to high rpm?

YES -- IMRC system is functioning properly. Turn engine off and replace beautification cover. Return to Computers and Control Systems / Diagnosis by Symptom or Diagnosis by Symptom -- Emissions Related.

NO -- Leave engine running. Go to AIS10. AIS10 - Check For Correct Vacuum Signal at IMRC Outlet Port
