AIS8 - Check Both Left and Right Bank IMRC Function at Idle

- Place vehicle in PARK with wheels blocked and parking brake engaged.

- With Engine Off, remove beautification cover to expose intake manifold assembly.

- Inspect IMRC vacuum actuator linkage at the back end of both left and right bank IMRC housing assemblies . Note the position of actuator linkage and lever mechanism with the engine off.

- While observing the linkage/lever mechanism start the engine and allow it to idle.

- Did the linkage/lever on both left and right bank assemblies move from engine off to engine running at idle?

YES -- Leave engine running. Go to AIS9. AIS9 - Check Both Lt and Rt Bank IMRC Function at High RPM

NO -- Leave engine running. Go to AIS12. AIS12 - Check For Vacuum at IMRC Solenoid Outlet Port
