AIS15 - IMRC Solenoid Functional Check

- Disconnect both vacuum hoses to the IMRC solenoid unplug electrical connector.

- With solenoid de~energized, confirm that the solenoid inlet (bottom) port holds vacuum and the outlet (top) port vents vacuum (use hand vacuum pump / gauge or equivalent).

- Energize solenoid (use battery voltage and note wire harness connector polarity) and confirm that an applied vacuum signal passes from the inlet to the outlet port.

- Does the solenoid pass both functional tests?

YES -- Check PCM and wiring system, Go to Pinpoint Test KT1. After service is made in Pinpoint Test, return to AIS8 to confirm system function. AIS8 - Check Both Left and Right Bank IMRC Function at Idle

NO -- Replace solenoid. Return to AIS8 after service to confirm proper system function. AIS8 - Check Both Left and Right Bank IMRC Function at Idle
