GD6 Component Check Actuate to Firm Position -- Pin 3

^ Use a 12 volt power supply and connect negative lead to actuator Pin 3 and positive lead to Pin 4 for 1 to 2 seconds. This procedure should drive actuator to FIRM position. After this has been done remove power supply leads.

^ Using an analog ohmmeter, measure resistance across actuator Pin 1 and Pin 2.

^ Ohmmeter reading is:

10,000 ohms or greater -- GO to GD13.

5 ohms or less -- GO to GD7.
