Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

With the Ignition Switch in RUN, voltage is applied from Fuse 5 to the Manual Lever Position Sensor. With the shift lever in reverse, the contacts in the Manual Lever Position Sensor close, allowing current to flow from Fuse 5 through 298 (P/O) and 140 (BK/PK) circuits to the Backup Lamps.
