Horn: Description and Operation

Voltage is present at the Horn Relay coil and contacts through Circuit Breaker 12.

Pressing either one of the Horn Switches (mounted in the steering wheel) closes the Horn Switch contacts, grounding the Horn Relay coil. the Horn Relay coil is energized and the Relay contacts close. Current flows through Circuit Breaker 12, the Horn Relay contacts and the Horn to ground. The Horns sound.

On Vehicles equipped with the Anti-theft Protection System, the Anti-theft Controller Module can also ground the Horn Relay coil to sound the Horns.
