Floor Console

Removal And Installation
1. Remove glove compartment door-lock bezel.
2. Pull rear of front finish panel up and rearward to disengage from two front locating clips. Disconnect cigar lighter and lamp connectors. Remove panel.
3. Remove two nuts retaining front bracket of console to the instrument panel. Remove two screws retaining front bracket to floor bracket.
4. Pull back carpet at the two front edges of the console. Disengage velcro fasteners to gain access to the two console-to-instrument panel retaining screws. Remove screws.
5. Remove four screws retaining switch mounting plate to console base. Disconnect all necessary electrical connectors, including lamp for gear shift (PRNDL) illumination.
6. Open lower console door and remove cover in bottom of tray (snaps out), to gain access to two console-to-rear floor bracket retaining screws. Remove screws.
7. To remove, slide console rearward and up.
8. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
