System Deactivation Procedures

To Deactivate System:
1. Disconnect positive battery cable.
2. Remove four nut and washer assemblies retaining driver air bag module to steering wheel.
3. Disconnect driver air bag module connector.
4. Open glove compartment and rotate all the way down, past the stops.
5. Disconnect passenger air bag connector, if equipped.





6. Attach Rotunda Air Bag Simulator 105-00008 or equivalent to air bag terminals on clockspring assembly to simulate the air bag.
7. Attach Rotunda Air Bag Simulator tool to air bag terminals on the wiring harness side of passenger air bag module connector, if equipped.





WARNING: IF VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH OPTIONAL PASSENGER AIR BAG, BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULES MUST BE DISCONNECTED.





8. Connect positive battery cable.
