Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

The air cleaner assembly bolts to the left fender apron and consists of a filter housing, air filter element, and a removable lid. Outside air enters form the air inlet duct into the air cleaner assembly where it is filtered through the air cleaner element. Air then travels through the air cleaner output to the throttle body. Air induction noise is effectively eliminated by means of a sealed and tuned resonator chamber located in the air cleaner assembly
