Damping Control Actuator: Service and Repair

FRONT

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Place vehicle on a level surface and apply parking brake.
3. Turn ignition switch to OFF or either LOCK position and raise hood.
4. Remove engine compartment covers.
5. Disconnect actuator electrical connector from wiring harness connector.
6. Remove actuator clips from upper mount attaching studs.
7. Remove two attaching screws retaining actuator to mounting bracket.
8. Remove actuator by lifting off.
9. Reverse procedure to install.

REAR

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.
3. Remove actuator.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
