SUSPENSION - REAR - TOO SOFT OF A RIDE

LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1988 CONTINENTAL


ISSUE: A soft and mushy ride that gives you the sensation of a floating motion may be caused by rear air struts that are too soft to provide the desired ride.

ACTION: Install new design air struts that provide a firmer ride. Refer to the 1988 Continental Shop Manual, Section 14-32-6 for service details.

NOTE: DO NOT INSTALL NEW DESIGN STRUTS FOR CONCERNS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH A "SOFT RIDE".
