LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1988 CONTINENTAL

ISSUE: An ignition key that is hard to turn when starting the vehicle has been noticed by some 1988 Continental owners. The new design ignition lock used in the 1988 Continental does not have the "dog" ear type tabs that assist the operator when turning the ignition key.

ACTION: If the ignition key operates freely in all modes, a Taurus key blank, Rotunda part number 011-00134, may be cut for the customer. The Taurus key has a larger head which reduces the turning effort.
