Unlimited Miles/Through December 31, 1998, for affected Continentals serviced under Emissions Recalls 93E41 or 93E42 prior to 11/07/94
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1988 Model California 3.8L engine equipped Continentals serviced under Emissions Recalls 93E41 or 93E42, prior to the availability of the improved service parts kits.
REASON FOR PROGRAM
Some owners of Continentals serviced under Emissions Recalls 93E41 or 93E42, prior to the availability of improved service parts kits, have experienced recall post-repair deteriorated driveability. This program is intended to provide additional coverage to correct this condition.
SERVICE ACTION
Owners of Continentals serviced under Emissions Recall 93E41 or 93E421 prior to 11/07/94, will be notified that coverage is available for the driveability concern and under the stated conditions. Continentals returned for service will have the powertrain control module (PCM), engine throttle body and engine cooling system thermostat replaced at no charge.
REFUNDS
Only for owner-paid replacement of the specific affected parts before the date of the Owner Letter or after the date of the Owner Letter for emergency service.
