Removal and Installation

Control Module

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Open the luggage compartment deck lid.

3. Remove two screws attaching module to the package tray. Remove control module.

4. Disconnect electrical connector from control module.

Installation

1. Connect electrical connector to control module.

2. Position control module to the package tray. Secure with two attaching screws and tighten.

3. Close the luggage compartment deck lid. Connect battery ground cable.

4. Test system for proper operation.



Relay, Alarm

Refer to illustration following Control Module, Installation.

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Open the luggage compartment deck lid.

3. Disconnect the wiring connector from the alarm relay.

4. Remove two screws attaching alarm relay to package tray. Remove the alarm relay.
Installation

1. Position alarm relay to the package tray. Secure with two screws and tighten.

2. Connect electrical connector.

3. Connect battery ground cable. Close the luggage compartment deck lid.

4. Test system for proper operation.
Relay, Disarm

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Open the luggage compartment deck lid.

3. Disconnect electrical connector from the disarm relay.

4. Remove disarm relay retaining screw and remove relay.

Installation

1. Position disarm relay to the brace on the package tray and install retaining screw.

2. Connect electrical connector.

3. Connect battery ground cable. Close the luggage compartment deck lid.

4. Test system for proper operation.


Relay, Inverter

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Open the luggage compartment deck lid.

3.Disconnect electrical connector to the inverter relay.

4. Remove the inverter relay retaining screw and pull relay away from package tray brace.

Installation

1.Position inverter relay to the brace on the package tray and install retaining screw.

2. Connect electrical connector.

3. Connect battery ground cable. Close the luggage compartment deck lid.

4. Test system for proper operation.



Relay, Starter Interrupt

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect electrical connector from starter interrupt relay (located behind lower center of instrument panel, just above warning chime module).

3. Remove starter interrupt relay.

Installation

1. Position starter interrupt relay to the bracket and snap into place.

2. Connect electrical connector.

3. Connect battery ground cable.

4. Test system for proper operation.
Fuses, In-Line

There are three in-line fuses located inside the luggage compartmment leading from the alarm relay. To replace, disconnect the battery ground cable. Separate the in-line fuse holder battery remove the fuse. Replace with the same type fuse. Connect the fuse holder and connect the battery ground cable. Check system operation.

Lock Tamper Switch, Luggage Compartment

To replace the luggage compartment lock, refer to Section 44-10.

Door Lock Switches, Anti-Theft

To replace the door lock switches, refer to Section 44-16.
