Oil Pan and Pump

1. Remove engine as outlined in ``Engine, Replace'' procedure.
2. Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan.
3. Remove oil pump to crankcase attaching bolts, then the oil pump and shaft.
4. Install oil pump shaft, ensuring that it is fully engaged with intermediate shaft.
5. Install oil pump and attaching bolts, then torque bolts to 16 ft. lbs.
6. Clean oil pan and crankcase mating surfaces, then apply a {1-4} inch bead of RTV sealant on split lines of engine front and rear covers and crankcase.
7. Position new oil pan gasket onto oil pan, then install oil pan and attaching bolts. Torque bolts to 7 ft. lbs.
