DESCRIPTION

A rear door sunshade switch signal is sent from the rear power seat switch to the rear multiplex network door ECU LH or rear multiplex network door ECU RH through CAN communication, and the rear curtain sub-assembly LH or rear curtain sub-assembly RH operate.

1. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs Rear Door Sunshade System.

(b) Check for DTCs Rear Door Sunshade System.

2. CHECK VEHICLE EQUIPMENT

(a) Check if the vehicle is equipped with the Ottoman.

Rear curtain is operated normally.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the z57 curtain switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the z56 rear power seat switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY (REAR DOOR SUNSHADE SWITCH)

(a) Temporarily replace the curtain switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch assembly.

OK:
