IG Power Source Circuit





STEERING COLUMN: POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM: IG Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the power switch is turned ON (IG), the IG power source circuit supplies positive (+) voltage to the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.

The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU also receives power switch signals via this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (D-IG1-1)

(a) Remove the D-IG1-1 fuse from the main body ECU.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU (IG TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

(a) Disconnect the L34 multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - MAIN BODY ECU, BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the L34 multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the DA main body ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (POWER SOURCE MODE DOES NOT CHANGE) Power Source Mode does not Change
