ECU Malfunction - Variable Gear Ratio Steering System

DESCRIPTION

If the steering control ECU detects an internal malfunction, it will turn the master warning light on, store DTCs C15B4/71, and stop VGRS operation.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MASTER WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the conditions under which the master warning light comes on.

Result:

The engine stalled, auxiliary battery voltage is too low, or the steering control ECU connector is disconnected.

NG -- REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. PERFORM VGRS SYSTEM CALIBRATION

(a) Perform VGRS system calibration Calibration.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.

Result





NG -- REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU Removal

OK -- END

1. REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the steering control ECU Removal.

NEXT -- END
