B2784 - Antenna Coil Open / Short

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when there is an open or short malfunction in the transponder key coil (built into the power switch).





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Engine Immobilizer System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTC Engine Immobilizer System.

OK:

DTC B2784 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE POWER SWITCH

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

3. REPLACE POWER SWITCH

(a) Temporarily replace the power switch with a new one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Engine Immobilizer System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Recheck for DTC Engine Immobilizer System.

OK:

DTC B2784 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU Removal

OK -- END (POWER SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
