EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: NAME PLATE: REMOVAL
HINT
When removing the name plates or emblem, heat the vehicle body and name plates or emblem using a heat light.
Heating Temperature
NOTICE:
Do not heat the vehicle body, name plates or emblem excessively.
1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM
(a) Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
* If reusing the symbol emblem, take care not to damage the symbol emblem.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the symbol emblem.
2. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (w/ Brand Name Plate)
(a) Put protective tape around the No. 1 back door name plate.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 back door name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 back door name plate to the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
* If reusing the No. 1 back door name plate, take care not to damage the No. 1 back door name plate.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 1 back door name plate.
3. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE
(a) Put protective tape around the No. 2 back door name plate.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 back door name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 back door name plate to the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
* If reusing the No. 2 back door name plate, take care not to damage the No. 2 back door name plate.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 2 back door name plate.
4. REMOVE BODY SIDE NAME PLATE
(a) Put protective tape around the body side name plate.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and body side name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the body side name plate to the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
* If reusing the body side name plate, take care not to damage the body side name plate.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the body side name plate.
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
5. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT FENDER NAME PLATE
(a) Put protective tape around the No. 2 front fender name plate.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 front fender name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 front fender name plate to the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
* If reusing the No. 2 front fender name plate, take care not to damage the No. 2 front fender name plate.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 2 front fender name plate.
6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT FENDER NAME PLATE
(a) Put protective tape around the No. 1 front fender name plate.

(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 front fender name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 front fender name plate to the vehicle body.

* If reusing the No. 1 front fender name plate, take care not to damage the No. 1 front fender name plate.
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 1 front fender name plate.
