DESCRIPTION

When the power switch is turned ON (IG), the IG power source circuit supplies positive voltage to the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.

The multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU also receives power switch signals via this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG RH)

(a) Remove the ECU-IG RH fuse from the main body ECU RH.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU (IG VOLTAGE)

(a) Disconnect the K27 connector from the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - BODY GROUND) B2610

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - MAIN BODY ECU RH)

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU RH - BATTERY)

OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - MAIN BODY ECU RH)
