Driver Side Seat Belt Anchor does not Operate Manually

DESCRIPTION

When up or down switch of the shoulder belt anchorage switch is pressed, an UP or DOWN signal is sent to the front door ECU LH. Then the signal is sent to the rear junction block ECU through CAN communication. Based on the received signal, the rear junction block ECU operates the shoulder belt anchor motor LH and moves the shoulder belt anchor LH up or down.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE SWITCH LH)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the shoulder belt anchorage switch.

Driver door:





OK:
Data List display changes correctly according to switch operation.
NG -- INSPECT SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE SWITCH LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR MOTOR LH




(a) Remove the belt anchor Removal
(b) Apply battery voltage to the shoulder belt anchor and check the operation of the shoulder belt anchor.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR MOTOR LH - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)




(a) Disconnect the S61 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the S7 anchor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
4. INSPECT SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE SWITCH LH




(a) Remove the anchor switch Removal
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR SWITCH LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE SWITCH LH - FRONT DOOR ECU)




(a) Disconnect the P10 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the P6 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR ECU LH
