HYBRID BATTERY CONTROL: HV RELAY ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ELECTRIC VEHICLE FUSE





(a) Install the 2 electric vehicle fuses with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 4.5 Nm (46 kgf-cm, 40in-lbf)
NOTICE:
Be sure to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts.

2. INSTALL HV BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.





(a) Tighten the nut and 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the HV battery junction block assembly.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66in-lbf)





(b) Connect the 5 connectors to the HV battery junction block assembly.
NOTICE:
Connect the wire wrapped with red tape to the terminal indicated by the "+" mark of the HV battery junction block assembly.

3. INSTALL HV BATTERY TERMINAL BLOCK
CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.





(a) Tighten the 3 nuts and bolt in the order shown in the illustration to install the HV battery terminal block.
Bolt - Torque: 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66in-lbf)
Bolt - Torque: 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66in-lbf)
Bolt - Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80in-lbf)
NOTICE:
Be sure to follow the order when tightening the nuts and bolt.
