Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

If the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver detects a malfunction, the tire pressure warning light comes on and tire pressure warning system is cancelled at the same time. At this time, the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver records a DTC in the memory.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver if the ECU and/or one of the valve and transmitters have been replaced.
HINT: This procedure must be performed according to the Problem Symptoms Table Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by operating the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.

Combination Meter





OK:
The tire pressure warning light is normal.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check the multiplex communication system How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.
OK:
There is not a malfunction on the multiplex communication system.
NG -- GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
