2UR-GSE LUBRICATION: SCAVENGING PUMP: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SCAVENGING PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily install the scavenging pump assembly and a new gasket with the 6 bolts.





(b) Using several steps, uniformly install and tighten the 6 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL NO. 3 OIL PIPE
(a) Install a new O-ring to the No. 3 oil pipe.
(b) Connect the No. 3 oil pipe to the scavenging pump assembly and align the bolt holes.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
- Do not rotate the oil pipe when connecting it to the scavenging pump.





(c) Install the No. 3 oil pipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL PIPE
(a) Install a new O-ring and oil pipe seal to the No. 2 oil pipe.
(b) Connect the No. 2 oil pipe to the scavenging pump assembly and align the bolt holes.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
- Do not rotate the oil pipe when connecting it to the scavenging pump.





(c) Install the No. 2 oil pipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
4. INSTALL NO. 1 OIL PIPE
(a) Install a new O-ring and oil pipe seal to the No. 1 oil pipe.
(b) Connect the No. 1 oil pipe to the scavenging pump assembly and align the bolt holes.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
- Do not rotate the oil pipe when connecting it to the scavenging pump.





(c) Install the No. 1 oil pipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
5. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT: Installation
