Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Anchor does not Operate Manually
DESCRIPTION
When the height adjustable anchor switch's UP or DOWN switch are pressed, an UP or DOWN signal is sent to the front door ECU RH. Then the signal is sent to the rear junction block ECU through CAN communication. Based on the received signal, the rear junction block ECU moves the shoulder belt anchor RH up or down.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR SWITCH RH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the height adjustable anchor switch.
(1) Intelligent tester
P-DOOR:
(2) Techstream
Passenger door:
OK:
On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
NG -- INSPECT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR SWITCH RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR RH
(a) Remove the belt anchor Removal
(b) Apply battery voltage to the shoulder belt anchor and check the operation of the shoulder belt anchor.
OK:
NG -- REPLACE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
(a) Disconnect the R8 anchor connector.
(b) Disconnect the S62 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
4. INSPECT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR SWITCH RH
(a) Remove the anchor switch Removal
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR SWITCH RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR SWITCH - FRONT DOOR ECU)
(a) Disconnect the P1 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR ECU RH
