PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: PARKING ASSIST ECU (w/ Advanced Parking Guidance System): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Battery

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING Removal

10. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE PARKING ASSIST ECU WITH BRACKET
(a) Disconnect the connectors.
NOTE: Do not forcibly disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the bolt, nut and parking assist ECU with bracket.
12. REMOVE PARKING ASSIST ECU






(a) Remove the bolt, nut and parking assist ECU.
- Avoid any impact to the parking assist ECU.
- Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
